The beginings

The Churh of Faith from Targu Mures it was founded in the year 1990, Fodor Sandor leading a charismatic and babtized group of young people. Even from the ’70s in the center of Romania there were charismatic groups functioning, which were suported by amazing people from USA (Bud McLane, Marilyn Hickey, Buddy Harrison and others). After the failure of the comunist era these groups of people decided to form a national unity and they asked to be affiliated to the Curch of Faith from Hungary. Because there were no laws in 1991 about establishing a new church, the Church of Faith from Targu Mures had it’s 1st status as a religious association. Having in 2006 the new religious laws, in 2008 the church was recognized at the national level. From the modest beginings it has been been a 20 years full of reachfull results. Looking at it now the church and soroundings over pass one thousand persons. Next to the weekly meetings, there are religious courses, activities for the youth and charitable actions.

In 2010 the church from Targu Mures fulfilled 20 years. Fodor Sandor-who has been the pastor since then – and a group of around 10 young persons founded the church 20 years ago. At the beginings they were meeting in different houses, after a while the space becamed kinda cramped and they were forced to look for a bigger place. During 20 years the comunity was moved from one renting place to another. The curent one is a rented plant, where in the past they were manufactured cables and now faith is. About the succeses and the batles of the past, also about the future hopes we asked the pastor of the church, Fodor Sandor.
